    Dry yet?

Quick post to apologise for the lack of info on the blog lately. We haven’t forgotten about it! It’s just all hands to the pump at the moment, and there aren’t enough hours in the day.

Loads going on. We’ve got 5 home games in quick succession coming up over the next month (Featherstone, Warrington/Bramley, Widnes, Wakefield and Whitehaven) so there’s plenty to do there, the Golden Angels promotion is a huge, huge time sink, there’s the small matter of the Super League license application which has to be in before 5pm on March 31st and on top of that we’re a man down as Paul is off doing the baby thing. Somehow the blog has (temporarily) been squeezed out in the shuffle, but normal service should be resumed within the next week or so.

As far as the license application goes, all we can say is that everyone within the club feels that our bid is exceptionally strong and it is a very impressive submission when you sit down and look at it. It makes you realise that the club is in very good hands, and stronger now in all departments than it has ever been. We’re just giving it a final polish in the time remaining and then we have to leave it in the hands of the RFL Board of Directors to make their decision. July can’t come soon enough. If anyone has any questions about the process or our submission feel free to leave them in the comments and someone will answer them asap (assuming they aren’t asking us to post the budgets, or Board of Directors salaries that is!)

Also, well played to the lads on Friday night - an exceptional effort - and well done to the fans who braved the driving rain! Legends all. Same again on Monday would be nice (hopefully without the downpour). See you all there!

Paul Highton will be celebrating 10 Years at the Willows this season and Forever Reds are delighted to be helping him towards a healthy, wealthy and well deserved benefit.  Thanks to all who attended the Sportspersons Dinner, earlier this month, but if you could not make the dinner, the next event in Paul’s calander is a race night at the Cock Hotel, Worsley on Tusday 25 March.  The evening starts at 7.30pm with free entry.

Future events for the calander include a fans forum (15 April) and a poker evening (29 April).  Keep checking the bog for further details.
