Well that’s it. All 600 seats on the Rugby Special from Eccles to Blackpool have been sold out and there will be no more. Ever. None. It is the longest possible train Northern Rail can fit on the station at a 600 capacity and we’re delighted we managed to fill it so as ever thanks for your tremendous support. It’s the equivalent of around 15 coaches, plus the coach that’s also going along with everybody driving, it’s going to be a special day.
If you are on it it’s going to be a day to remember. Reds’ merchandise will be on sale on board.
Next stop, Hogwarts. All aboard etc…
Steve will be here shortly to tell you about new flags and car flags that have just come in in the nick of time…

It’s Cup Final week and tonight’s Rugby Roundup will be concentrating on next weekend’s action in Blackpool.
Guests in the studio will be Forever Reds’ Paul Parkin and Reds’ star Lee Jewitt.
So for an hour of rugby natter, humour and grand music, plus interviews with Shaun McRae and whoever else we can get our hands on tune in tonight 6-7pm, 94.4 FM, Salford City Radio, or you can listen online at www.salfordcityradio.org.
Send in your emails wishing the lads luck to studio@salfordcityradio.org and we’ll read out what we can.
Don’t forget the show is also repeated at the same time on Friday.
Cheerio:-)

At the time of writing there are just under 50 tickets remaining of the club’s allocation, and they have been selling quickly all day. There is currently no opportunity to pay on the day, and we will not be receiving any further tickets from the RFL, so if you do not buy your ticket from us very soon indeed then you are going to be out of luck.
There are also less than 30 places remaining (out of 600) for the Express Train to Blackpool so if you want to get on that you had better hurry too! There are a small number of coach places remaining too for those who would prefer not to spend the whole day in Blackpool.
It’s been a pleasure to sell these tickets to so many excited Reds fans, we’ve met many new faces along with plenty of old, and everybody at the club looks forward to sharing Sunday with you all. It should be a great day.

As you will have noticed www.reds.co.uk is back online. We believe the reason we had to take it down at server level originally was due to a Denial of Service attack which is basically a hacker using a script requesting pages that do not exist every 1/10th of a second running up a huge bandwidth bill.
Good old the internet eh?
