Hopefully this will be the last post from me on this!

After discussions Oldham have now decided to open a small section of the Rochdale Road end of the ground for our visit on Friday.

Pricing will be the same as previously announced.

Following a number of requests and questions, we have confirmed with Oldham Roughyeds this morning that the pricing and seat details we published a couple of days ago are indeed correct.

All supporters will be seated in the Main Stand (upper and lower tiers) on Friday night. The stands behind the posts will not be in use.

Hope that clears up any lingering doubts!

A world record attempt for the greatest number of consecutive passes of a rugby league ball is being made on 29 February to launch Salford University’s Community Partnership with Salford City Reds - and local people are being asked to help out. The University and the Reds want 300 local people to help beat the current record of 280 consecutive 5m passes in one hour - and earn a place in the Guinness Book of Records. The attempt, which will take place before the game against Swinton Lions, is to officially announce a community link-up between the Reds and the University. The partnership has already seen the University team receive coaching and kit and the Reds receive advice on sports psychology and the use of state-of-the-art fitness testing facilities. People who want to get involved should come along to the ground for 6.00pm. Chris Bamber who is employed by the University and the club to co-ordinate the new partnership said: “With the world record attempt and the excitement of a rugby league game, this should be a great night. “We want as many people as possible to come along and get involved in what promises to be a great night.”

    Aloha good people,

On tonight’s (Weds) Rugby Roundup on 94.4FM / www.salfordcityradio.org you can expect a little cross-city banter as my studio guest is John Thomason from the Swinton Lions who will be behind the mic with myself and Paul Parkin to have a natter about thing rugby related in the city. 6PM is the time to set on your alarm.

We’ll be talking about last weekend’s big derby, having a chat about what Swinton are trying to do to get a second strong team back in the city and also we’ll be looking forward to this weekend’s games.

I’ve also got tickets to win for next week’s return derby at The Willows so make sure you listen in for all that, a good laugh and some cracking music along the way

If you have any questions you’d like to ask, requests, shouts or whatever you can email me here at paul.mcnally@reds.co.uk or just leave a comment, or after about five you can email us direct in the studio by whizzing your imaginative prose to studio@salfordcityradio.org.

Last week we had one from a cat so please don’t be afraid, it can’t get any weirder.

Don’t forget if you can’t tune in on Weds the show is now repeated 6-7PM on Friday’s too so if you’re looking for some listening while you’re trying to get over to Oldham….

Don’t say I never tell you anything..
